NotesFrederick Clapshoe was the son of Frederick Edward Clapshoe and Mary Eliza Dowden, married October 26, 1896 in St. John, Brighton, Sussex, England.

In 1901, Frederick Clapshaw, 3 years of age, was residing at 25 White Street, Brighton, Sussex, England. Other family members included: visitor, Percy Came, 18; Frederick E. Clapshaw, 24, bus conductor; Louisa Clapshaw, 2; and Mary Clapshaw, 28. (Source: Class: RG13; Piece: 922; Folio: 26; Page: 43.)

A death registration was found for Mary Clapshoe: Estimated Birth Year: abt 1874; Year of Registration: 1906; Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar; Age at Death: 32; District: Brighton; County: Sussex, East Sussex; Volume: 2b; Page: 161.

In 1909, Fred Chapshoe, 11, arrived in Quebec, Canada, along with a group of 47 children from Catholic Emigration en route to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

In 1911, Fred Clapshoe, 13, was shown as a lodger with Joseph Sarrasin and family in St. Luc, St Jean and Iberville, Quebec, Canada. His date of birth is shown as July 1898 and his immigration year as 1909.

In 1917, Frederic Clapshoe died of pneumonia in Quebec, Canada. His burial was recorded in the St-Luc (St-Jean) Catholic Church. He was the son of Frederic Clapshoe of England and adopted by Joseph Depelliau of the parish.
